Back in the Amazon, I couldn't resist... A few things. One, if you are reading this and aren't registered as "follower," please register so I know who I'm writing to. Second, I will not be posting until this weekend because I am working at an animal rescue center in the Amazon until then. It´s already been a blast today and yesterday but I´ll save the stories until the post.
Third, I realized that I had been slacking slightly on the random fact of the day (to be honest, every post might be too much so I'll change it to a more manageable once-a-week, and it will be distinguishable in red):
I have not be crazy in thinking that this is the most diverse changeable country on Earth. According to several literary sources, Ecuador is host to 46 different ecosystems, and is only the size of Nebraska. The biodiversity here is greater than in all of North America and Europe combined! That explains why a two-hour bus ride seems to carry me through 2-10 countries.

It's an awesome and amazing place. I'm so glad you get to see it. Right now I'm looking for a way to take my family there again this summer. Where are you? I thought about having my family volunteer at one of those eco-rescue places. Are you in Puyo?
